Guided Walking

Whether it’s a one mile but packed with historical interest route led by Oggie or John’s 7½ mile cross-country hike finishing at a country pub, Valeways has a walk for everybody.

To help you choose a walk suitable for your abilities or interest Valeways offers a quarterly walking programme with walks on several days of the week and throughout the Vale of Glamorgan. Each of these is graded to indicate the level of difficulty and the expected walking time.

🥾 Progression Walks:  Approximately 1.5 hours, gentle terrain with limited stiles, steps or steep inclines.

🥾🥾 Secondary Walks: Approximately 2 - 2.5 hours with some stiles, steps or steep inclines.

🥾🥾🥾Extended Walks: Approximately 3 - 4 hours. Many stiles, steps or steep inclines. Bring a drink and a snack.

This sign indicates a bilingual walk. Welsh speakers and learners especially welcome.

We ask you:

To dress appropriately for the weather conditions.

Bring drinking water on hot days.

Wear strong but comfortable footwear.

To accompany children under 16 years.

Not to bring dogs.

For your safety, all Valeways walk leaders are trained in leadership and first-aid.
